Crossref Citations Statistics

Crossref is a not-for-profit association counting thousands of voting member publishers who represent an even larger number of societies and publishers. It was launched in early 2000 as a cooperative effort to enable persistent cross-publisher citation linking in online academic journals. Crossref also acts as an official Digital Object Identifier (DOI) Registration Agency. Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research participates in Crossref and to its Reference Linking and Cited-by Scheme. Through this scheme, the participating members deposit all the citations from all their articles so that they can be indentified and linked to the published papers. Following a similar scheme, Crossref Citation Statistics for each journal can be retrieved to provide a view of the journal's impact. The below graph shows the number of citations to all papers published in our journal  in each year, as found in Crossref database, along with the number of published papers per year and the ratio of these two values. The graph is updated periodically (see the caption for the date of the latest update).

Metadata search and DOI lookup within Crossref can be conducted here. Note that any user can extract the citation data for any journal using the Crossref API or performing queries through a third-party software (e.g. Publish or Perish).
