Payment Instructions

Payments are to be sent to our publishing company: PUBETA SINGLE MEMBER P.C., which is a private entity (P.C. stands for "PRIVATE COMPANY") based in Greece. Our main bank account is in Alpha Bank SA, Greece but we have also set up a Wise Bank account in Belgium to provide our customers a cheaper/faster alternative  (although with some additional restrictions).  After acceptance, a notification will be sent via email to the corresponding author and also posted in the payment tab of the submission. The available payment options are described below. Note that additional charges may apply for different transfer options.

Payment by Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club, Google Pay, Apple Pay

We accept payments form all major cards (Visa, Mastercard, Diners Club) as well as Google Pay and Apple Pay payments through our partnership with Nexi Payments Greece S.A.Nexi Xpay.

After acceptance, a personlized link will be provided to the corresponding author to facilitate the payment via Nexi Xpay. The link will resolve to a page inside https://xpay.nexigroup.com/ that will state the basic information regarding your order (the amount to be paid and the submission ID) and also state that the payment is to be transferred to pbl/pubeta

An example is shown in the picture below:

Note that this payment includes an additional  charge of 3.5% to cover transfer expenses.

Note that the is an one-time link and if you cancel it or if you initiate a payment and do not finish it within a logical time period or if your card transfer limits are lower than the sum you wish to send, the link will be cancelled and you will have to contact us again to issue a new one.

Also note that Nexi uses the comma as a decimal separator and the dot as the thousand separator so e.g. 1000 is written as 1.000,00

Payment to our Wise account (from Specific Countries Only)

If you are registered in Wise, then you should be able to perform a rapid and low cost/free transfer to our Wise account using the following link: https://wise.com/pay/business/pubeta

Note that Wise does not allow payments originated from certain countries. Transfers from these countries will probably be rejected by Wise in a later stage (or not be allowed to be conducted at all). The list of countries that we can not accept Wise transfers from, can be found in the Wise website here

If a Wise transfer from your country is allowed, then type the amount under "You pay" and your submission ID under "Description" and then click "Continue to pay".

After you have made the payment, create a new discussion in the "Payment" tab of your submission to state the sender's name and to attach the transaction receipt to help us identify the payment (especially if you have forgotten to state the submission ID in the description).

An example is shown in the picture below:

Wise generally uses the dot as the thousand separator so e.g. 1000 is written as 1,000.00 but this may depend on your local settings so make sure that the amount you enter is conveyed properly.

Payment by Wire (Bank) Transfer

For Wire (Bank) transfer, please note that transfer fees are to be paid by you as the “sender” so that we receive the full amount; do not select “shared” fees or fees paid by the “beneficiary” or “recipient”. A second transfer may be necessary to complete the full amount if transfer fees are not fully paid by the sender. Traditional wire (bank) transfer may take several days/weeks and be subjected to heavy fees. Alternative money transfer services (e.g. WiseSkrillTransfastPayseraXePaysendWorldRemitRemitly etc) or local agencies may provide faster/cheaper alternatives but not all services support all transfers (i.e. transfers to all currencies/countries). A wire  transfer can be cancelled even days after sending, due to internal restrictions by the bank/service/agency you use. You should always check and verify that the transaction is supported before sending. Note that we can not consider a payment completed, and we will not further process any accepted submission, until the fee is actually received. Make sure to state your submission ID number as a Reference and also as a Comment in your transaction in order to help us identify the payment. After you have made the payment, create a new discussion in the "Payment" tab of your submission to state the sender's name and to attach the transaction receipt to help us identify the payment. Do not send us transaction receipts via email.

Note that wire transfer to our Wise account is usually faster and the transfer fees may be lower (or even zero), but additional restrictions may be enforced by Wise. If you face issues with Wise, then you should use our Greek Bank account (Alpha Bank). For example, Wise does not allow us to receive payments from specific countries. Transfers from these countries will probably be rejected by Wise in a later stage (or not be allowed to be conducted at all). The list of countries that we can not accept Wise transfers from, can be found in the Wise website here
