Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research (ETASR) is an international wide scope, peer-reviewed open access journal for the publication of original articles concerned with diverse aspects of science application, technology and engineering. The main aim of ETASR is to provide fast publication to scientists, researchers and engineers from both academia and industry, that wish to communicate recent developments and applications in their field. ETASR mainly publishes technical papers that should contain new theoretical and/or test results but will also consider for publication review articles. ETASR publishes original papers in various fields of Applied Science, Technology and Engineering that include, but are not limited to, the following areas: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering,  Data Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Computer Engineering, Power Engineering, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Automation and Control, Measurement and Metrology, Cybernetics, Signal Processing, Electronics, Telecommunications, Materials Science, Mining, Laser and Optics, Information Technology and Informatics, Aeronautics, Marine and Naval Engineering, Sustainability, Transport and Communications, Cryptography and Steganography, Biomedical Engineering and Medical Physics.

Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research was firstly published in February 2011 as a group effort of active researchers and engineers to have their “own” journal.

The goal was to introduce a journal "from researchers for researchers". Collective experience available from interacting with the publishing industry from various positions (authors, reviewers, editors etc) was employed as a guide throughout the journal's planning and operation. Accurate and fast reviews, thorough copyediting, fast and efficient responses, internationality, flexibility and focusing on the goal of communicating research findings and engineering/technology applications were the goals set. ETASR is collaborating with ReviewerCredits in order to offer tangible rewards to reviewers (see our Reviewer Rewards page).

ETASR is indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection  (former Web of Science/Thomson Reuters Master Journal List), through the Emerging Sources Citation Index and its latest Web of Science Journal Citation Indicator (JCI) value is 0.33. ETASR is a Crossref member, has been awarded a DOAJ seal (for journals that adhere to outstanding best practice) and is indexed by various indexing services worldwide (refer to our Indexing & Links page).

The journal is published bimonthly. The first issue of every year is published in February. A first decision about each submitted paper will be reached within 4 weeks from submission. An added time of 2-4 weeks should be considered for each additional review round. Accepted papers will be published as soon as possible (possibly in the following issue). Visit our Data & Statistics page for additional information and mean times so far (per year and overall).

The author grants ETASR the right of first publication but retains the copyrights of his work.

ETASR provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

ETASR is an open access journal which means that all content is freely available without charge to the user or his/her institution. Users are allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of the articles in this journal without asking prior permission from the publisher, providing that they acknowledge its initial publication in this journal.

All submitted papers will be pre-screened by the Editor to determine suitability for further review (e.g. correct format,  area of interest). Papers deemed suitable will be peer-reviewed by at least two reviewers (single blind review). In case of delay on behalf of a viewer, the reviewer my be substituted by another. In case of excessive delay, the paper will be reviewed by members of the Editorial Board. Submitted articles cannot have been previously published, nor be forthcoming in an archival journal or book.

ETASR incorporated the PROJECT COUNTER process for viewing metrics so that multi-clicks and bot views are filtered by default in November 2017. Metrics are shown in each article's abstract page. See our Metrics Information page for unfiltered views  for articles published before November 2017 and for some additional information.

ETASR is a Crossref member. All our published articles get registered in Crossref and a DOI is assigned to each one. ETASR's DOI prefix is 10.48084 and the journal's direct DOI link is https://doi.org/10.48084/etasr. ETASR also implements reference linking, checking all references of all published articles and adding DOIs to them (when a DOI is available).

ETASR citation style is available in the official Zotero Style Repository and you can add it to your available styles either from within your Reference Manager Software (e.g. Zotero, Mendeley) or you can download the csl file directly from the official Zotero Style Repository here and then add it manually to your available styles.

Download links for RIS and BIB files suitable to be imported in your Reference Manager Software (Endnote, Zotero, Mendeley, BibTeX) are available in each article's abstract page.
