Clarivate Web of Science (former ISI/Thomson Reuters) / Master Journal List / Emerging Sources Citation Index
The Web of Science / Web of Knowledge collection/services were initially owned and maintained by the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI). It was purchased by Thomson Reuters in 1992 and renamed Thomson ISI for some time after. It was again sold to Onex Corporation and Baring Private Equity Asia in late 2016. The new company was named Clarivate Analytics (the company behind Publons, among others). In 2018, Clarivate re-established an ISI within its structure. Several alterations in the nature and names of services, lists and products have occured over the years (and different ownerships). ETASR was added to Web of Science and the Master Journal List in late 2015. The ETASR entry in the Web of Science Core Collection originates from the Emerging Sources Citation Index. As a relatively new index in the Web of Science Core Collection, Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) expands the citation universe and reflects the growing global body of science and scholarly activity. ESCI complements the highly selective indexes by providing earlier visibility for sources under evaluation as part of SCIE, SSCI, and AHCI’s rigorous journal selection process. Inclusion in ESCI provides greater discoverability which leads to measurable citations and more transparency in the selection process.  You can search for ETASR indexed in Web of Science Core Collection here (you will need a Clarivate account). Our journal is indexed as "ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY & APPLIED SCIENCE RESEARCH" (Clarivate has omitted the comma from our title as it creates a problem in their database). We recommend simply using "1792-8036" (our eISSN) as a search term. You can see ETASR indexed in Web of Science Master Journal List here. Clarivate now also publishes a new metic: the Journal Citation Indicator (JCI), representing the relative citation impact of a given paper as the ratio of citations compared to a global baseline for papers in that subject/field. The mean JCI for all articles published in a journal in the preceding three years provides the journal's JCI. The Journal Citation Indicator for ETASR for 2021 is 0.37 (past years' values: 0.33 (2020) and 0.24 (2019)). In July 2022, Clarivate announced that all ESCI journals will receive an Impact Factor in 2023. Thus, ETASR will receive an Impact Factor in the 2023 JCR. You can read the announcement here.

A copy of the Scopus Source List  of November 2022 with ETASR included (for the first time) in the "Accepted titles" tab can be found here. The list can be found in the Scopus site if you click on "Sources" (upper right corner of homepage) and then click on the "Download Scopus Source List" link that appears to the right of the page (above the list of results). A direct list of the Scopus Source List is provided here.

Following its membership, ETASR assigned DOIs to all published articles and even applied Reference Linking (i.e. find and post available DOIs for all references in all articles' abstract pages). ETASR's participation report can be found here (make sure to select the "All time" choice from the drop down menu).  Metadata search and DOI lookup within Crossref can be conducted here.
